A Change of Plans

When I started this journey two months ago, I had my itinerary mostly planned out. I knew that there would be changes along the way for various reasons, so Flexibility has always been my companion. The housesit in Crete that I’d been looking forward to got pushed up a month, so I had to let go of my month in Switzerland. The farmer in southern Italy found a couple to work in June, so rescheduled me for November. But I’ve found a more interesting gig, so I dropped that one. Here’s the updated version:

Currently in Scotland on a WorkAway helping a family with two kids. I cook, garden, tidy.

3/24-3/31. Budapest Spa Week with girlfriends.

3/31-4/15 Abruzzo visiting the family I WorkAwayed for two years ago.

4/16-5/2 Crete Housesit

5/3-5/17 Visit Hannah and Mike in Italy

5/18-6/13 WorkAway caring for dogs and a garden on a quiet Greek island in an off-grid house.

6/14-6/30 WorkAway on another quiet Greek island gardening

6/31-8/30 WorkAway at a retreat center in Albania. Mostly cooking and helping wrangle “the pups” ie younger WorkAwayers

9/1-9/30. WorkAway in Turkey practicing English with a woman my age. Ooo, the food!

10/1-10/31. Italy Housesitting and visiting friends

11/1-11/30 WorkAway in Italy helping care for a bunch of dogs and cats and celebrating my 60th birthday!

12/1. Maybe come home

12/1 Maybe do a housesit on a Greek island
